April in Japanese is fairly easy to remember. Basically, it is just the number four added to the Kanji for moon. I’ll explain more below.

Basically, in order to say April in Japanese, just know the number four and the character for moon. 4 in Japanese is shi or the character 四. So you can also write April as 四月 in Japanese. The Old way to say April in Japanese

Just as a bonus there is an old word for April in Japanese. It is 卯月うずき. This word was used in the old Japanese calendar.
